Why Working Women Are Stuck in the 1950s
This is an interesting article that addresses the struggles that women still face in American society. We have the right to vote and have been accepted in the workplace, but all things are not yet equal. I do not agree with the all of the author's suggested solutions, but it is a good topic to think about.

Great article. They're facing similar difficulties in Germany, though it's not quite as dire. They don't have enough childcare places open for the number of children in need of childcare. And many women who grew up in the former east believe that children should be cared for from the time of infancy, just about ("Kinderkrippen"), and don't understand the financial burden that places on the state and businesses. But at least the discussion is out in the open there, and people are actively engaged. On another note, I liked her mention of "market fundamentalism" -- I've never heard it put quite that way.
